Catalog design for SIWA (Singapore International Watch Auction) 2006.

The brief was the come up with a unique time-related concept for the theme of the entire auction. The theme would be applied to various collaterals of the auction, including banners, invitations, and the official catalog.

Time pieces are regarded by collectors to be akin to pieces of art, that was the inspiration for the theme. Three graphical renditions of time pieces representing different artistic movements/periods were created as page dividers for the catalog, and combined to create the main theme image for the event.

The theme combines the concepts of time and art, as artistic movements are time-influenced as well.

The challenge was to render the pieces digitally and imitate the artistic techniques used for the different movements, to make them distinct enough for identification and relation to the movements.

The layout of the catalog items was such that the information was organized yet making sure that the visual flow does not get too monotonous.

Wrote the copy for the divider names as well, using keywords influenced by time and the artistic movements.

The project was done under the creative direction of Theresa Yong, Immortal Design, Singapore.
